Mike is a highly respected basketball coach who has led teams in US College, the NBA, and the NBL in Australia. He began as a College Assistant in 1980 and became the Head Coach of Cal Lutheran in 1989. In 1994, Mike moved to Australia and led the Adelaide 36ers. He then returned to the USA in 1997, coaching Metro State to National Championships in 2000 and 2002. |
In 2006, he joined the NBA as an Assistant with the Denver Nuggets before becoming the Head Coach of the University of Arizona. In 2011, he was chosen by Michael Jordan to lead the Charlotte Bobcats.
In 2020, Mike returned to the NBA as an Assistant Coach with the Milwaukee Bucks helping them to their first NBA Championship in 2021.
